Where we droppin’, boys? Fortnite v19.10 is here, and with it comes a legendary returning POI, a returning weapon and a giant surprise!

Return of a Legend: Tilted Towers

Exactly 4 years after its initial debut in Chapter 1 Season 2, Tilted Towers has returned to Fortnite after last being seen in Chapter 1 Season 8.

Build to the top of its iconic clock tower, bust into apartments, stop by restaurants, battle it out in the underground parking garage or storm the No Sweat Insurance office. The battle for Tilted is on!

Meet the Klombo!

A very large creature has been spotted roaming the Island… the Klombo! This huge beast will eat just about anything you throw in front of them, but what they love most is Klomberries! Pick these fruits from small bushes around the Island, then throw one near a Klombo to lead it your way. After Klombos snack a bit, items spout out! Have you accidentally (or purposefully…) provoked a Klombo? Calm its rage with none other than a Klomberry.

Klomberries also have nutritional value for non-Klombos!

The Grenade Launcher is back!

The Grenade Launcher has been unvaulted and adjusted. Projectiles now explode after their first bounce and fire more directly at your target.

Grenade Launchers can be found in Rare Chests, Supply Drops and Sharks.

Competitive Notes

  • Klombos and Grenade Launchers are not included in competitive playlists. Klomberries are included, however.
  • Shield Kegs have been added to competitive playlists.
  • Armored Walls have been added to competitive playlists, at a reduced pick-up limit.

Major Bug Fixes

  • Fixed an issue involving Spider-Man’s Web-Shooters getting interrupted after players swung onto web bouncers.
  • Fixed an issue involving players encountering a “Network Connection Lost” error when trying to join a match as a spectator. With this issue fixed, the option to join a match as a spectator has been re-enabled.
  • Fixed an issue that caused us to disable healing from resting in a Tent. Healing from resting in a Tent is now re-enabled.
  • Fixed an issue involving campfires sometimes not healing players.
  • Fixed an issue that caused us to disable DLSS for DirectX 11. DLSS for DirectX 11 is now re-enabled.
  • Fixed an issue involving Daily Quests not being visible in the Quests tab after players returned from a non-core mode. 

What’s coming up before the next update?

  • More Season Quests will be released on January 20 and January 27 at 9am ET/2pm UTC
  • A collaboration with “Tones & I” will occur
  • Vi from League of Legends Arcane will arrive in Fortnite

Fortnite v19.20 is expected to be released on February 1, 2022. Enjoy the return of Tilted Towers in the meantime!
